Trivandrum: Replacement of 140 Track Kilometres (TKM’s) of rails has to be completed in Trivandrum division in the year 2017-18. The division has two critical single line sections between Kollam-Ernakulam with more than 100 percent line saturation. Track maintenance work in Trivandrum Division to affect punctuality of trains
Trivandrum: A pan India safety drive has been launched by the Railway Board to meet the new higher standards of safety and to improve asset reliability. Trivandrum division has taken up the drive on a mission mode to ensure safety in train operation. As a part of this 180 kms of track comprising of rails and sleepers are targeted to be replaced in the current financial year.
