Railways announce special arrangements for 2018-19 Sabarimala season

Trivandrum: The Thiruvananthapuram Division of Southern Railway has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of Sabarimala pilgrims and passengers during the Mandala Makaravilakku Festival commencing on 16.11.2018. The division has facilitated multipronged arrangements including special trains, accommodation and security arrangements to cater to the needs of the pilgrims during the ensuing season.

Trivandrum – Gorakhpur & Ernakulam – Barauni Raptisagar Express routes diverted

Trivandrum: The following trains are diverted on a permanent basis between Kanpur Central and Barabanki skipping the stoppage at Lucknow Jn. The new route for the trains will be Kanpur Central – Manak Nagar – Aishbagh – Badshahnagar – Malhaur – Barabanki instead of Kanpur Central – Manaknagar – Lucknow Jn. – Malhaur – Barabanki. Additional Stoppages at Aishbagh and Badshahnagar will be provided for the trains in lieu of the stoppage at Lucknow Jn.

Trivandrum: To clear the extra rush on Kollam – Tambaram route, the following special trains will be operated. I. SPECIAL FARE SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN TAMBARAM – KOLLAM Train No.06027 Tambaram – Kollam special fare special train will leave Tambaram at 17.15 hrs. on 02nd, 04th, 07th, 09th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd & 25th January, 2019 and reach Kollam at 09.20 hrs. the next day.

Changes in service pattern of few trains during Nov 14-27

Trivandrum: Following changes in the pattern of train services will be implemented due to the traffic block for carrying out maintenance/modification works in various parts of Southern Railway. I. To facilitate yard modification works at Arakkonam station in Chennai division, the following train services will be regulated at Kadambattur station and consequently, these trains may have delayed arrival on dates mentioned.
