Trivandrum: Kerala cabinet has given its approval for the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Semi High Speed Rail corridor, Silver Line. While giving its green signal to the project today, the Cabinet made minor changes to the alignment proposed in the DPR submitted by the implementing agency Kerala Rail Development Corporation Ltd (K-rail), a joint venture of the Indian Railways and the Kerala Government.

Trivandrum: Based on the communication received from Government of Kerala, the operation of Train No.02082 / 02081 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur – Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi special trains (five days a week) have been reinstated to/from Kannur, instead of Kozhikode, with immediate effect. Consequently, the trains will be operated to/from Kannur as per notification issued initially. Booking also allowed to / from Kannur for these trains.

Trivandrum: In a late-night decision, the railways have informed that Train No.02082 / 02081 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur – Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi special trains (five days a week), which were notified to run between Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur, will now be operated between Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kozhikode – Thiruvananthapuram Central only until further advice, as per the request of Government of Kerala.

Non-monsoon timings: Train No.06302 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Ernakulam Jn. daily special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 07.45 hrs. daily from 01.06.2020 to 09.06.2020 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 12.30 hrs. the same day.
