New Delhi: Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan met with the Union Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav today at Rail Bhavan to discuss several key issues, including the Angamaly-Erumeli-Sabari rail line project, the approval of the Silver Line project, and expediting efforts to upgrade Kerala’s railway lines to three and four lanes.
The Union Minister assured the Chief Minister that the matter would be addressed at the official level, leading to a final decision. This meeting continued discussions that the Chief Minister had with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in August. State Sports and Railways Minister, V Abdur Rahman also attended the meeting, where he noted that the discussions were very favourable. The Union Minister indicated that positive action could be taken on other requests from Kerala related to railway line development.
