Trivandrum: In a late-night decision, the railways have informed that Train No.02082 / 02081 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur – Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi special trains (five days a week), which were notified to run between Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur, will now be operated between Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kozhikode – Thiruvananthapuram Central only until further advice, as per the request of Government of Kerala.
The train will now short terminate/originate from Kozhikode instead of Kannur. All reserved tickets from/to these stations will stand cancelled and full refunds shall be provided. Similarly, Railway Board has earlier permitted the elimination of Thalassery, Vadakara, Mavelikkara and Kayamkulam stoppages based on the request of the government.
Train No.02082 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 14.45 hrs. from 01.06.2020 until further advice, except on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and reach Kozhikode at 22.17 hrs. the same day.
Stoppages : Kollam – 15.38 / 15.40 hrs.; Chengannur – 16.34 / 16.35 hrs.; Tiruvalla – 16.44 / 16.45 hrs.; Kottayam – 17.18 / 17.20 hrs.; Ernakulam Town – 18.32 / 18.35 hrs.; Thrisur – 19.48 / 19.50 hrs.; Shoranur – 20.52 / 20.55 hrs.; Tirur – 21.33 / 21.35 hrs.
Train No.02081 Kozhikode – Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi special train will leave Kozhikode at 06.05 hrs. daily from 01.06.2020 until further advice, except on Wednesdays and Sundays, and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 14.25 hrs. the same day.
