New Delhi: Kerala has got a budget grant of Rs.3,042 crores in 2025-26 for rail development projects. This was announced by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, at a press conference where he gave information about state-wise budgetary allocation for the railway projects for the financial year 2025-26.
The budgetary outlay for Kerala Rail development projects is Rs.3,042 crores for the year 2025-26. Eight projects spanning across 419 kms costing Rs.12,350 crores are in progress in Kerala. 35 railway stations in Kerala are being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme at a cost of Rs. 2,560 crores. 107 RKM works are in progress for the commissioning of Kavach Safety systems out of the sanctioned total of 531 RKM in Kerala.
