Moving a step ahead towards digitalizing its transactions, Thiruvananthapuram Division has installed POS machines at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and Parcel offices across Division. Forty six PRS centers of Trivandrum division which are directly run by Railway is now equipped with POS machines in collaboration with State Bank of India. Ticket reservation and parcel booking across Thiruvananthapuram division is now possible with all type of Debit and Credit cards. In the second phase all Integrated Unreserved Ticketing system (IUTS) Centers where both reservation and Unreserved ticketing is done will be equipped with POS machines.
