Ernakulam: The following train services will be diverted/partially cancelled due to a traffic block at Ernakulam Yard to facilitate essential track maintenance work.
DIVERSION
1) Train No. 16128 Guruvayur–Chennai Egmore Express, leaving Guruvayur on 25th September 2026, will be diverted between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Jn. to run via Kottayam. The train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Ernakulam Jn, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha and Harippad. Additional stoppages will be provided at Kottayam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Changanassery in the diverted route.
2) Train No. 16603 Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express, leaving Mangaluru Central on 25th September 2026, will be diverted between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Jn. to run via Kottayam. The train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha and Harippad. Additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Changanassery in the diverted route.
3) Train No. 22207 MGR Chennai Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central AC Superfast Express leaving MGR Chennai Central on 25th September 2026 will be diverted between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Jn. to run via Kottayam. The train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Ernakulam Junction and Alappuzha. Additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam and Changanassery in the diverted route.
PARTIAL CANCELLATION
1) Train No. 18189 Tatanagar – Ernakulam Express leaving Tatanagar Jn. on 24th September 2026 will be short-terminated at Aluva as the train will be partially cancelled between Aluva and Ernakulam Jn.
