Trivandrum: Southern Railway has announced the following weekly express special trains for the convenience of passengers from Kerala during the Velankanni Festival.
(1) Train No. 06061/06062 Ernakulam Junction – Velankanni – Ernakulam Junction Weekly Express Festival Specials
Train No. 06061 Ernakulam Jn – Velankanni Weekly Express Festival Special via Kottayam will depart from Ernakulam Jn. at 23.50 hrs. Wednesdays, 27th August and 03rd & 10th September 2025 (3 Services) and reach Velankanni at 15.15 hrs, the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06062 Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn Weekly Express Festival Special will depart from Velankanni at 18.40 hrs. on Thursdays, 28th August, 04th & 11th September 2025 (3 services) and reach Ernakulam Jn at 11.55 hrs. the next day.
(2) Train No. 06115/06116 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Velankanni – Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Express Festival Specials
Train No. 06115 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Velankanni Weekly Express Festival Special via Nagercoil Town will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 15.25 hrs. on Wednesday, 27th August & 03rd September 2025 (2 Services) and reach Velankanni at 03.55 hrs. the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06116 Velankanni – Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Express Special will leave Velankanni at 19.30 hrs. on 28th August & 04th September 2025 (Thursday) and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 06.55 hrs. the next day (2 Services).
