Trivandrum Division holds User Consultative Committee meeting

Trivandrum: The 69th Divisional Railway User Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of Trivandrum Division met today at the DRM office in Thiruvananthapuram. Nine DRUCC members of the reconstituted committee attended and Divisional Railway Manager, Prakash Bhutani presided over the meeting. Railways introduces Online Bill tracking system for Vendors & Contractors

New Delhi: In a significant move to enhance transparency in the processing and settlement of bills, Indian Railways have introduced a bill tracking system for contractors/vendors of Indian Railways to track the status of their bills. Railways plan maintenance corridor to complete pending track maintenance

Trivandrum: Replacement of 140 Track Kilometres (TKM’s) of rails has to be completed in Trivandrum division in the year 2017-18. The division has two critical single line sections between Kollam-Ernakulam with more than 100 percent line saturation. During the Sabarimala season additional 123 additional special train services are operated through this route increasing the traffic density by double. More number of Sabarimala specials are planned near Makaravilakku period. Track maintenance work in Trivandrum Division to affect punctuality of trains

Trivandrum: A pan India safety drive has been launched by the Railway Board to meet the new higher standards of safety and to improve asset reliability. Trivandrum division has taken up the drive on a mission mode to ensure safety in train operation.
